A 3D Toy and a Wooden Box 一个 3D 玩具和一个木盒子

Today was really fun. First, we opened our laptops and picked a cat image to turn into a 3D model. Before we could jump into the real thing, everybody had to learn how to make a 3D design from scratch. This connected to what we’d been doing — yesterday we made a vacuum-formed blister case (the clear plastic shell you often see packaging sit inside), and today we were designing a 3D-printed toy that fits right into that case, just like a real product in its packaging.

So first, we practiced how to make a 3D model, and then we got to choose our own toy to design. Everyone started by copying a cat image, but honestly, I didn’t really want to make a cat. Instead, I chose to make an Among Us character! I turned it into a 3D shape and then added even more details to make it my own. We didn’t finish today, so we’ll get to complete it tomorrow — and I can’t wait to see mine come to life.

We also worked on another project: a little box made from some really nice, expensive wood, with a beautiful wooden handle. It felt special to build something out of such high-quality material. I liked it a lot. The whole day was pretty tiring, but I enjoyed every part of it, and I’m excited to keep going tomorrow.
