Goodbye, Yellowstone 再见了，黄石

Today is our very last day at Yellowstone National Park. Tomorrow afternoon, we’ll be packing up and heading out, and honestly, it makes me really sad. I wish we could stay longer — this whole week has flown by way too fast.

By the way, earlier when we were down by Yellowstone Lake, we got to skip rocks across the water. At first I thought I was terrible at it and could only make one skip — but then one of my throws skipped a whole six times! I guess my throw wasn’t so bad after all. It feels great when something you doubted yourself on actually works out.

After that, my mom asked me which places we hadn’t been to yet, and I joked, “Everywhere!” Then she suggested we go on a short hike at the other national park nearby — Grand Teton. I said okay, and we ended up hiking for about 30 minutes before everyone agreed it was finally time to head home.

Once we got back, the hotel was really nice, and the best part was that our Starlink finally worked again! The reason it didn’t work the first few days was that the wires were broken, and we’d forgotten to test it on the car before the trip. Luckily, a friend of my mom’s lent us some cables, and as a bonus, my mom bought a portable Starlink battery — which turned out to be super useful. For example, if you don’t want your Starlink to get lost or stolen, you can just hook up the battery and keep it inside the car. After all that, we finally had Wi-Fi again, so we could watch whatever we wanted without worrying about losing connection.

It was such a fun time, and I really wish I could do today all over again — actually, I wish I could relive the whole week. Goodbye, Yellowstone. I’ll definitely miss you.
