Today I went to my coding class, and it was really, really fun. My teacher and I learned how to build a game in Python called Ultimate Rock Paper Scissors. It’s basically the normal game, but you add two more moves: Lizard and Spock. Now there are five moves instead of three, and each one can beat two others — Rock beats Lizard and Scissors, Paper beats Rock and Spock, and Lizard poisons Spock. It sounds simple, but the code got super long, and it almost took up the whole class. Even so, I didn’t want to stop, because I was having a blast.
After coding, we drove over to my little brother Henry’s piano lesson. To be honest, it was pretty boring, and I had to wait in the car the whole time. At least I got to watch some interesting videos, so it wasn’t a total waste. By the time we left, I was starving, so we grabbed dinner at In-N-Out. It really hit the spot.
Then we stopped by REI to get ready for our big trip to Yellowstone next week. (I’m saving that story for a different diary, so you’ll have to wait!) The shopping part dragged on and got kind of boring, but a few parts were actually exciting. After that, we ran to Whole Foods because our fridge was basically empty, and we needed to stock up on breakfast and lunch. Grocery shopping isn’t really my thing, but somebody’s got to do it.
When we got home, I did some scratch art at the picnic table, where you use a toothpick to scratch a picture out of a black sheet — it turned out to be a ton of fun. Later, my mom asked me to break down some cardboard boxes, and surprisingly, I got into it. The funny part was the storage: one box can hold ten bags, but one bag can also hold ten boxes! It kind of blew my mind, and I couldn’t stop messing around with it.
Last of all, I had to file down my pet’s claws, because they were getting way too sharp. My pet is a bearded dragon, so I filed them carefully and made sure they were still pointy enough for him to climb. By the end, I was completely worn out, but it was honestly the best day ever. I really hope I can do the whole thing again someday — except for the boring parts, of course!
今天我去上编程课，超级超级好玩。我和老师一起学了怎么用Python做一个游戏，叫做"终极石头剪刀布"。其实就是普通的石头剪刀布，但是多加了两个出法：蜥蜴和史波克。这样就从三种变成五种了，而且每种都能赢其他两种——石头赢蜥蜴和剪刀，布赢石头和史波克，蜥蜴能毒死史波克。听起来好像很简单，但是代码写得超级长，差点把整节课都用完了。就算这样，我也不想停下来，因为我玩得太爽了。
编程课结束后，我们开车去送弟弟亨利上钢琴课。说实话，真的好无聊，我只能一直在车里等。不过好在我可以看一些有意思的视频，所以也没有完全浪费时间。等我们走的时候，我已经饿得不行了，于是我们去In-N-Out吃了晚饭。真的太好吃了，正好解馋。
然后我们去了REI，给下周去黄石公园的大旅行做准备。（这个故事我要留到另一篇日记里写，所以你们得等等！）买东西的过程拖了好久，有点无聊，但是也有几个地方挺让人兴奋的。之后我们又冲去全食超市，因为我们冰箱里基本上空了，要买一堆早饭和午饭的东西。逛超市真的不是我喜欢的事，但总得有人去嘛。
回到家以后，我在野餐桌上玩刮画，就是用牙签在一张黑色纸上刮出图案——结果发现超好玩的。后来妈妈让我去把一些纸箱子压扁，没想到我居然玩上瘾了。最搞笑的是收纳的问题：一个箱子可以装十个袋子，但是一个袋子也可以装十个箱子！这个事情把我整懵了，我一直在那里捣鼓来捣鼓去停不下来。
最后，我还得给我的宠物剪指甲，因为它的爪子已经太尖了。我的宠物是一只胡子蜥蜴，所以我很小心地给它挫爪子，还要确保留得够尖，让它还是能爬东西。忙完之后，我整个人累到不行，但说真的，这真的是有史以来最棒的一天。我真的好希望以后还能再来一次——当然，那些无聊的部分除外！
