Three Rounds, One Word, No Words 三轮游戏：一个词、一句话、一个动作

Today I went to debate class, and it was a ton of fun. We headed there right after school, and on the way, we even stopped by a park to play for a few minutes. It was the perfect way to burn off some energy before class.

Today was the last day of debate class, so I was really excited. The teacher said we didn’t have time for scripts, so instead, we moved on to a game called Fishbowl — and let me tell you, it turned out to be a blast. The way it works is that everyone writes down different words and ideas on little cards, then folds them up and drops them into a bowl.

Here’s how the game goes. In round one, you pull out a card and get one minute to describe the word using as many words as you want, until your team has guessed all of them. Then the other team takes their turn. In round two, things get trickier — you can only say one single word as a clue. For example, if the word is “math,” you can only say something like “addition,” and not a word more.

But round three is the hardest of all: no words at all! You can only use hand motions to act it out. So for “math,” you’d have to make gestures like a plus sign, a minus sign, or an equal sign and hope your team figures it out. I had such a blast playing Fishbowl, even when it got super tricky.

After the game, I got to exchange my points for a prize pencil, and the best part was that everybody got a free turn on the spinning prize wheel. It was really, really fun, and all in all, it was a great way to wrap up debate class. What a nice day!
