Today I went to sewing class, and to be honest, I wasn’t really excited about it at first. But that changed the moment we got to choose our own project — suddenly I couldn’t wait to get started. It’s funny how fast my mood flipped once I had a say in what I was making.

First, we learned how to use the sewing machine, and then we sewed all the pieces together. The needle was really sharp, so you had to be careful the whole time. Next, we got to iron the pieces flat using a hot iron — and let me tell you, you have to watch out, because those things get really hot!

After we had lunch, I made some new friends, which was a nice bonus. Then we got to try out zigzag patterns, and the cool part was that you could choose whatever design you wanted. I picked number 6, which is called “lightning” — and it turned out awesome, just like a little bolt stitched right into the fabric.

All in all, I had a really good day, and the project was so much fun. I ended up making a bag, and it came out super durable — it feels like it could last forever. The best part is that it even has a bottle holder on the inside. I’m really proud of how it turned out, and I liked it a lot.
